Don’t listen to the pessimists, never mind the hypocritical. The fantasy that you want is the reality that you can live. Don’t make me choose and I won’t fall, ‘cuz there comes a point in time when everybody falls, don’t know when I’m going to crawl. Don’t listen to the negativity, never mind the jealousy. The world that you dream is the life that you live, the road you think about is the path that you walk. The choices you make will define the life you live, so tell me when I’m going to crawl, don’t treat me cruel, don’t make me feel small.
It’s funny how full an empty room can feel when you are full of emotion, the uncomfortable surroundings that you walk through each hour of every day you are alive. Every day you look for answers to questions you don’t know, it’s funny how life can be when facing strategy. It’s scary how one can be when suffering from pain, it’s astonishing how quickly one life can stop with no rhyme or reason. I wake up every morning with heavy things I have learned on my mind and search for dreams I’ve never seen. People with no faces pass by, changing their lives and wondering why. It’s sad how easy departure can be when detached from reality in the uncomfortable surroundings of today.
“Things will work out” or “Only time will heal” and “Keep your chin up” these all seem to be words of encouragement when times are tough. Sometimes it feels like there are always uphill battles & no matter how hard you work, you will never “get ahead” because when you work your butt off for success, there is always someone else working harder. I think the American society gives young people a false sense of security that if they go to school, get good grades, work hard and graduate college then they will get a job and all of their worries will be magically flushed away. But what they fail to tell you is that, getting a job and keeping a job are two different things, taxes take a large percentage of the money you make and good things do happen to bad people. It is all in your attitude, the way you think about a situation and only you have the power to change it. Don’t be one of those people who are always complaining about their life or job or relationship and not do anything about it. I have friends who hate their job and bitch about it constantly, but they wont do a damn thing to change it. I know people who complain about how untrustworthy a friend of theirs is, but they won’t stop hanging out with them….Really!? Find a solution and turn that frown upside down- I tell them find a new job that you enjoy and go get it, stop hanging out with those who you don’t trust. But they don’t, so in the end I conclude that they are just happy being miserable.
Being happy and excited about the “dance” that we call life is 60% of your mental success. But, he cold hard truth is this:
• People will talk behind your back – both good and bad.
• You will lose someone you love
• Having a child will change your life
• One day someone close to you will die
• College isn’t easy
• Finding a job is hard, working up in a job is harder
• Somebody may lie to you more than once
Life isn’t perfect and neither are people, A lot of it is clutter, you have to sift through the clutter and pick out the good points, you must have self confidence in yourself, be positive & not get caught up in what other people have to say about everything. Everybody will have an opinion about what you should do, or what you need to do, but the truth is, you are the only one who knows what is best for you. Opinions have crushed great people, Wisdom and self confidence have built a amazing individuals.
